My daughter has an ongoing medical issue and had a terrible night which resulted in an early morning call to 111 . We were advised for her to be examined by a GP as soon as possible . I called at 8.30 am and was informed we would have have a triage call within the hour . After I had 2 hours and I had telephoned twice , we had a call from Dr Celia Ballard who did not follow the advice of 111 for my daughter to be examined and prescribed medication over the phone to be collected from the pharmacist . My daughter felt very worried and has taken the medicine , but is still fearful that the unidentified underlying problem is still there, especially as there is a family history of vowel disorders and my daughter was not asked about this when she was in triage via the telephone.I have made an appointment for two weeks time to review the medical situation and very much hope that it is resolved . The receptionists were friendly and helpful , so I must commend them on their professionalism.
